About the Author From his lower middle class background to his Ivy League education and subsequent medical career, the author had already transitioned through some interesting life changes. When the airliners struck the World Trade Center and the Pentagon in 2001, he embarked on what was to be the biggest change of all and became a US Army doctor in the Iraq war. In 2010 he left the Army and returned to his civilian career, but with some major changes including a new family and four children.

Highlights the simply things that you miss when you are deployed. Highlights just how truly amassing the people who join the military are. Thank God for these people. Highly recommend this book.
