About the Author Mark Lucker is a poet, writer, and high school English teacher originally from Minnesota currently living and teaching in New Orleans following a mid-career switch to the classroom. A visual artist as well as a writer, for over twenty years he has turned some of his poetry into original, multi-media artwork sold at various coffee house showings and other locales. His work has been featured in a variety of websites and publications, and he is a founding member of an online writing group known as Some Poets.

It ended too soon, so I re-read it & I'll continue to re-read it. It's simply wonderful, like breathing fresh air after being underground for too long. It's delightfully insightful, and the prose, at times, truly moved me. Sedentary changethe place you knew as home always will be, though you can't live there anymore.

The rustic poem stories of growing up in Minnesota drew fantastical pictures of a lake, sitting on the dock, and orange soda. I would highly recommend this book to anyone.
