Eventually, he found a different side of life. He said, Goodbye and it s been a slice! to the music business and entered the corporate world. By the millennium another change took place. For more than two decades, Jon knew that within him there was the desire and ability to write, so he drove to Los Angeles and started as soon as he arrived. By Jim Chieco The book is an extraordinary adventure and actually a love story of sorts of a cousin for a cousin, a Godson for his Godfather, and a student for his mentor. I coulldnt put the book down and coming from Hudson County related totally to the characters and La Famiiglia throughout. One of the best Stories of what happens behind the scenes in the mob in a long long time. This book is a must read for anyone who enjoys the Glamour of La Cosa Nostra's dealings. Enjoy!

5 of 5 people found the following review helpful. Loved it. By Judy Ketchum I'm reading it a second time. So immersed in the story, what was going to happen next, the wild, crazy and scary ride that I realized at the end I was reading a perfect book. Masterfully written. The timing for each 'round' exceptional. Beautifully formatted and not a typo anywhere. For me I wish there was a sequel but I don't think Jon would go another round. A very wild time for a young man to survive and tell the tale, even a kid from Jersey. Thank you Jon for telling us your story.

An Especially Well-Written and Entertaining Tale By Peaceful & Easy This may not be an entirely objective review; for one thing, I am Italian and have strong ties to New Jersey (I know, those are two things); for another, I lived and played in the same areas of Los Angeles that much of this story took place in at the same time that the acts and actions described in the book happened. I am nearly certain that Jon and I must surely have bumped into one another at some time.I am also, however, a professor of English specializing in expositional composition and am being wholly objective when I say that Jon's story is extraordinarily well-written.The dichotomous juxtaposition of irony and humor against horror and violence - and the accompanying rapid changes of the readers' facial expressions from shock and disgust to mirth and satisfaction - left my face sore after each session with this wonderful story.Anyone anywhere who has ever enjoyed any cop show on TV or has any interest whatsoever in vicariously delving into the underworld of Mafioso 'family' life should get hours of reading enjoyment and pleasure from "The Boss Always Sits in Back" by Jon D'Amore.
