3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. It jumped around By Nicolaus sports fan. The book was obviously written by an anglophile with an under-developed appreciation of the history of the franco-anglo conflict in north America. It started out interestingly enough but jumped around. Scant attention is given to the fact that 3,000 French Canadians held off the onslaught of British migration (about 380,000 british) to north America for over a century. There are a few nuggets in the book but it could have been a bit more balanced.

The author does digress and includes two chapters on New England religion and New England witch hut; neither which is relevant to the main theme.
