Especially for the sports lover, this page-turner is full of Zip's trials and triumphs throughout the years. His work in the world of philanthropy/charity is truly inspirational, as his "greater purpose" in life becomes ever clearer. I highly recommend this book.

I should preface my remarks with two statements. First, I have been privileged to be a friend of Zip Rzeppa's for eight years. Second, I am a professional writer, a punctilious grammarian, and a ruthlessly honest critic. This is an interesting, insightful, and inspiring autobiography. Zip has led, and will continue to lead, a blessed and most importantly, real, life. He has known the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat (to borrow a phrase). "For A Greater Purpose" is a book for sports fans, self-help aficionados, Catholics (and indeed, all Christians), old and young, and those who seek their greater purpose.I received the book last night and read it this morning. It was so engaging that I truly lost track of time. Zip's media company, Mater Media, is focused upon producing positive work with an enduring and hopeful message that is ineluctably needed in order to sustain our Faith, our Republic, and our culture in these tumultuous times. As much as this is a work that is sorely needed at present, I opine that Zip has written a "book for all seasons." I cannot wait to read the next offering from Mater Media, as I have certitude that it will be spiritual and spectacular.Please read "For A Greater Purpose" and recommend/disseminate it and "My Rock and Salvation" (Zip's novel) to your friends, family, and associates. "For A Greater Purpose" will touch your heart and soul. For all of you tough guys and tough gals out there, I dare you to read this book without getting misty. It cannot be done. So often we say, "there's nothing positive out there" in roundly bemoaning the ongoing cultural war in our nation and throughout the world. This is your notice - here is something positive and uplifting. Please read it, provide your imprimatur, and spread the joy!

His realism and candor is humble, courageous, gritty, humorous and lovable. His story is loaded with virtues, each taking front stage at different times in his life. His ups and downs corroborate conventional wisdom that hard work and a cycle of failures and triumphs often accompany the road to success (especially in high profile careers). Zip’s life journey is a medley of amazing short stories that will soften hearts and inspire souls, but the steady unfolding and realization of how they fit together for God’s “Greater Purpose” is what makes this book so special. Great job Zip!
