1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. A life-enhancing collection By Roberta Laura’s poetry stimulates me to be more present to what is around me as well as calms me with her insights. While I have been one of those graced by Laura’s advent poems since she wrote her first one in 2000, I am grateful that she has gathered them as well as others into a book that I want near. Laura has a gift for capturing life’s moments and giving them a voice. As someone who connected very rarely with poetry, Laura enriches me by opening my mind and heart to a way of seeing and experiencing my own life. I heartily recommend her book.

Normally, I'm not a read-the-foreword kind of person, but this time, even that drew me in. The words used to describe Laura's poetry are captivating. That response is more than justified. My eyes brimmed with tears upon reading the first poem in the collection. Warm tears spilled down my cheeks at the second. There is such beauty and breath to her writing. I am better for the experience.
