"The Stories Behind The Smiles" is a fun read about church life from the perspective of a pastor's wife and family. Although these stories are all true.....there are no names of people or churches used. I have been a pastor's wife for more than 30 years, and things can happen within churches that rival any family drama. This collection of short stories will cause you to laugh, cry, and be surprised at things people will actually do.

The Stories Behind The Smiles: A Glimpse Into Church Life In The West Virginia Mountains., by Kim Walker

About the Author I am a native West Virginian and have been a minister's wife for more than 30 years. I am a professional quilt designer, a pianist and teacher, and a painter. The cover of this book is one of my original paintings. I was raised in a small community on the banks of the Elk River in Clay County WV and attended elementary, junior high, and high school there. We moved to Nicholas County, WV in 1981 and still reside there. My husband and I have 2 grown children and several grandchildren, and after all these years in the ministry, I decided to compile some of my stories in this book, which is a fun, easy read.

  • Thus Spoke Zarathustra: A Book for All and None (German: Also sprach Zarathustra: Ein Buch für Alle und Keinen, also translated as Thus Spake Zarathustra) is a philosophical novel by German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche, composed in four parts between 1883 and 1885 and published between 1883 and 1891. Much of the work deals with ideas such as the "eternal recurrence of the same", the parable on the "death of God", and the "prophecy" of the Übermensch, which were first introduced in The Gay Science.

Review , also translated as Thus Spoke Zarathustra. Treatise by Friedrich Nietzsche, written in four parts and published in German between 1883 and 1885 as Also sprach Zarathustra. The work is incomplete, but it is the first thorough statement of Nietzsche's mature philosophy and the masterpiece of his career. It received little attention during his lifetime but its influence since his death has been considerable, in the arts as well as philosophy. Written in the form of a prose narrative, Thus Spake Zarathustra offers the philosophy of its author through the voice of Zarathustra (based on the Persian prophet Zoroaster) who, after years of meditation, has come down from a mountain to offer his wisdom to the world. It is this work in which Nietzsche made his famous (and much misconstrued) statement that "God is dead" and in which he presented some of the most influential and well-known (and likewise misunderstood) ideas of his philosophy, including those of the Ubermensch ("overman" or "superman") and the "will to power." Though this is essentially a work of philosophy, it is also a masterpiece of literature. The book is a combination of prose and poetry, including epigrams, dithyrambs, and parodies as well as sections of pure poetry. -- The Merriam-Webster Encyclopedia of Literature

Language Notes Text: English, German (translation)

About the Author Nietzsche has been proclaimed the seminal figure of modern philosophy as well as one of the most creative and critically influential geniuses in the history of secular thought.

This is the translation to buy. Everyone seems to adore Kaufmann, but the truth is he's much more obtuse and difficult to read (and I don't believe it's necessary, as some may say). Hollingdale gets it right. I'll defend myself with one example from a class I took, where Kaufmann's translation was the required text. I had read both translations (cover-to-cover), and sold my copy of Kaufmann's translation, keeping only my Hollingdale. So, needless to say, I wasn't about to buy Kaufmann again, and went to class with Hollingdale. Slowly, but surely, as the other students read bits of the translation I had, or heard when I spoke pieces aloud, they overwhelmingly agreed with me: Hollingdale is simply more clear, more beautiful, more powerful (less academic, shall we say, which is pure Nietzsche). Ok, over and out, enjoy.

Review for the non-philosopher By Andy Gill There seem to be plenty of reviews debating the philosophical principles of Nietszche and the statements he makes, so, for the non-philosophy students present (i.e. ME) I'll rate it for the layman.`TSZ' is very longwinded, and as the introduction states, filled with `excess', but that does not make it a bad book. Every sentence is imbued with its own iconic poetry, and, philosophy aside, the metaphors and similes alone make this book worth reading. It is clear that Nietszche, or perhaps his translator, had a mind better suited to creative expression than most philosophers, or indeed today's authors, and it is in this that lies the book's real strength. Through its use of imagery it not only makes an interesting, inspirational, conjectural read (apart from a few really boring parts that seemed written only to slow down the pace), it makes its message easy to understand and backs it up with surrealistic examples. Whereas sometimes in philosophy, the use of allegory can confuse the issue (More's `Utopia' - mockery of idealism, framework for perfect society, or rambling tale?), in `Zarathustra' the reader, no matter whether they are new to the field or not, cannot fail to discern the message that Man is not a goal but a bridge, a rope over an abyss. As philosophy, and as literature, it succeeds in conveying its point, setting up a platform for discussion or merely to digest individually. Admittedly, some refuse to read Nietszche because of his view of women (`shallow waters'), and because of how his ideas for the Superman allegedly inspired Hitler's Aryan vision for the world, but such people deprive themselves of an interesting viewpoint that defines the meaning of life in human rather than spiritual terms. One potential problem for the newcomer to philosophy is the storyline. For a man remembered for the statement `God is dead', Nietszche obviously drew inspiration from the Bible, for Zarathustra is strongly reminiscent of Jesus, recruiting disciples and disappearing into the wilderness with a frequency that Bigfoot would be proud of. The problem with an allegorical tale is the reader's propensity for bringing western narrative expectations to it - `Zarathustra' is a text-book, not a story, but sometimes you do find yourself waiting for the climax, the big show-down, the cinematic denouement. So long as you remember that it is philosophy, not a novel, and so long as you appreciate each segment as an expressive point and not part of a conventional plot, there should be no troubles. I'll leave you with a sample of Nietzsche's verbal wizardry:`It is the stillest words which bring the storm. Thoughts that come on doves' feet guide the world.'

Also Sprach Zarathustra - Difficult but Worth the Effort By Jason Bagley To start off with, the Walter Kaufmann translation is by now well known to be probably the authoritative edition of Zarathustra (although the excerpts I've read from the Del Caro Cambridge Texts edition seems to be perhaps a more beautiful style). One of the reasons I originally picked up this edition was because the only translations available over the web were the droning and pedantic Thomas Common versions which are not only dull but muddled. Walter Kaufmann's translation gives a degree of clarity that far surpasses the Common translation, cannot speak to all the differences (however large or small) between it and the Del Caro version. The book isn't particularly long, but Nietzsche fills it with metaphors and parables in addition to simple narrative and merriment. This is one of the challenges of the book: you're forced to figure out what is meaningful from what isn't and on top of that what each metaphor means. Nietzsche has never been in the habit of going into intricate detail or clarifying what he's saying to the same degree as some other thinkers, and although the book is a stylistic masterpiece (with narrative deliberately done in a biblical style and herein lies one of the advantages over the Common translation, namely that Common translated everything to mimic the King James version with an overabundance of "thees" "thous" and "ests") the philosophy is at times difficult to comprehend. Again, it's not difficult in the sense that the Critique of Pure Reason is difficult, or at least not nearly to the same degree, it is difficult because it is at times cryptic.Additionally, I've seen a lot of reviews suggesting reading Nietzsche just for the pithy phrases or the beauty of the work. And while the work is indeed a very beautiful piece in places and is often quotable (and even considering Nietzsche was very big into each individual making his own meaning, creating his own path or values), I'd caution you against that approach. Although the book has a strong "make your own way" line of thought, that doesn't preclude understanding the ways of others.I will admit that this is a contender for one of the more difficult books I've ever read (up there with Kant, though Nietzsche's previous and subsequent books are by far easier to understand). I've noticed that numerous readers recommend reading the book a second time. I'd say that might be useful, but it would take someone with either a lot of free time on their hands or someone with a very great degree of insight to grasp the meaning of each part of this work. What I found useful was having read other works by Nietzsche first. Before reading Zarathustra (which I read for the first time when I was 15 at the urging of a friend who was taking political science and philosophy in college) I had already read On the Genealogy of Morality and Human, All Too Human. My recommendation is to read at least one of Nietzsche's other books, preferably a couple. I'd suggest making Beyond Good and Evil one of your choices. By doing this, you will have already been introduced to Nietzschean philosophy and will be able to more readily grasp the symbolism used.Even if you don't choose that approach, you should get the main lines of thought, specifically the eternal recurrence of the same, the overman, and the glorification of struggle, in the work. Either way, this book is a landmark work in the history of philosophy and deserves to be read.

Welcome to FOB Haiku: War Poems from Inside the Wire, by Randy Brown

Review "Brown has a good ear for military life, especially for what is significant and how it is conveyed, sometimes in subtle ways."--Tom Ricks, Foreign Policy magazine's "The Best Defense" blog"Sherpa does a great job blending the world of combat with the civilian world back home. He's good at contrasting the foreign with the familiar. [...] The poems range from the outright humorous to the dark."--Eric "Shmo" Chandler, the "Shmotown" blog"Unlike in previous wars, the best telling of the soldiers' stories has come from the soldiers themselves, and not from traditional journalists. Many of these books add to our understanding of people at war, while a few are just macho battle stories. Some seek to reach into a war's soul. 'Welcome to FOB Haiku' [...] is one from the latter category."--Peter Van Buren, author of "We Meant Well: How I Helped Lose the Battle for the Hearts and Minds of the Iraqi People""An important collection for anyone who wants to know the warrior's story in ways the TV newscaster and the politician cannot show."--D.A. Gray, author of the 2011 war poetry collection "Overwatch.""The Iowans I knew were congenial, but also quiet and serious, guarded I felt about their emotions and true thoughts, their humor manifesting itself in acerbic wit aimed at absurdity of circumstance. No Iowa soldiers I knew were poets, but now Brown's new volume of verse [...] puts the Midwestern blend of earnestness and cleverness I saw in Afghanistan to work on behalf of poetry about service, deployment, and war."--Peter Molin, the "Time Now" military literature blog

About the Author Freelance writer and citizen-soldier by day, and secret (writing as "Charlie Sherpa") blogger by night, Randy Brown was preparing in 2010 to deploy as the sole "knowledge manager" for an Iowa National Guard unit of 3,000 soldiers. ("Historian, librarian, lessons-learned reporter—it was sexier to say my job was 'Brigade Staff Jester,'" he jokes.) After a paperwork snafu dropped him off the list, he retired with 20 years of military service and a previous overseas deployment. He then went to Afghanistan anyway, embedding with his former colleagues as a civilian journalist. Brown's often-humorous military-themed poetry and non-fiction have appeared widely in literary journals and anthologies. He was the 2015 winner of the inaugural Madigan Award for humorous military-themed writing, presented by Negative Capability Press, Mobile, Ala. Brown was the 2012 winner of the Military Reporters and Editors' (M.R.E.) independent-blogging category, and a past finalist in the Milblogging.com awards' reporter (2011) and veteran (2012) categories. He is the current poetry editor of Military Experience & the Arts’ literary journal As You Were.

War Poetry for the GWOT Generation By Geek of Some Trades I was medically disqualified from uniformed service but served as an embedded contractor supporting the US military, including multiple deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq. In this role, I shared many (but certainly not all) of the experiences of my uniformed brothers and sisters. This time was a milestone in many lives and Welcome to FOB Haiku reflects on it through verse.Welcome to FOB Haiku is not quite Rudyard Kipling's "Tommy" or other classic war poems. It doesn't take itself that seriously, but it reflects our time at war, which included as boredom and levity as well as fear, courage, and pain. The poems capture the full breadth of the experience: grief for lost comrades; the gallows humor that helps us get through stressful situations (if you've ever wondered why the sanitation ponds on big FOBs like Victory Base Complex and Bagram didn't get hit with more mortar rounds, this book has the answer!): the strange, perhaps never complete, process of readjusting to "normal" life; and the near-constant draw that many of us feel to return to a singular time in our lives and a fight that is still far from finished.I think it is healthy and necessary to reflect on such a life-altering experience as war. Welcome to FOB Haiku is a thoughtful and friendly companion to such reflection.

Among the best poems from our war in Afghanistan By Stephen Sossaman This book includes some of the very best poems to come out of our war in Afghanistan that I know of. There is something here for most readers' tastes: serious poems, light verse, sonnets, haiku and haiku-like poems. Randy Brown writes honestly, without trying to either glorify the military or criticize it, and his poems are not overtly political. They are from the perspective of a soldier "inside the wire" and the veteran he later became. Many or most of the poems are humorous, and all are accessible to general readers (unlike a lot of contemporary poems). The poet wants us to understand his poems, and so has provided useful explanations of military terms, the circumstances of particular poems, and acronyms. I have a fuller review at [...]

Great Poetry By David Ervin What I picked up thinking was going to be a humorous little adventure - as only "Charlie Sherpa" can create - I put down with a chill down my spine. This is a thematically expansive collection containing humor, heartbreak, happiness, and nostalgia. It is a fitting mix given the subject, as many veterans (this once included) can say the same as they reflect on their service. There are some gems in this work, and overall it is a genuine treasure in the canon of military literature and poetry.

They are both successful and their lives and career gave so much meaning and contribution to mankind. For those who have no ideas who Tony Robins and Steve Jobs are, which I very doubt, there is an overview section of their lives and careers at the beginning of each book. I like Tony Robins' saying "Change is INEVITABLE. Progress is OPTIONAL." You can find other 76 meaningful sayings of his in book 1. About Steve Jobs, the world's admirable man, his life itself is inspiring. It is a good thing this book has collection of his motivating speeches. Nice read!

By Vincent This book combo of 2 books and quotes with life lessons was pretty helpful. I wondered if the writer was a native English speaker (probably not) because of some grammatical mistakes, but those didn’t detract from the valuable content. I always love motivational books with quotes and little life lessons. It makes it so that I don’t have to go through the same things and can learn from others. Therefore, I must honestly say that I liked these books with more than 100 pages of interesting stuff. It deserves four stars, for sure.

In a torrential downpour, Phil, Jamie and Martin—three teenage boys—encounter a strange and enigmatic man covered in horrible scars who will change their lives, their destinies and the very fate of their souls forever. When their encounter mistakenly leads to murder, they realize this eerie stranger may not have been a man at all, but something much more… Thirty years later the boys—now men—lead tormented lives filled with horrifying memories of the scarred man and what they did all those years ago in the rain. Phil is a struggling writer, divorced, with a daughter and a mounting drinking problem. Jamie is a defrocked priest with depraved secrets and horrible addictions, and Martin, a madman who thinks himself a god, has vanished into a desolate desert region of Mexico and established a feared and violent blood cult. When Martin’s dying mother hires Phil to find her son and bring him home, Phil embarks on a perilous journey that will take him from the seedy streets of Tijuana, to a dangerous and allegedly haunted stretch of desert Mexican road known as The Corridor of Demons. At the end of the road, in an old and previously abandoned church, Martin and his followers wait in the Hell-on-Earth they’ve created deep in the desert. There will be only one chance for redemption, one chance for salvation, and one chance to stop the rise of an antichrist’s bloody quest for demonic power. From the void, came chaos. These are its children.

6 of 6 people found the following review helpful. Greg F. Gifune: The High Priest of Horror By Kindle Customer Let me start this review off by stating that I think Greg F. Gifune is one of the most brilliant writers of horror today. His voice is smooth, daring, vicious, poetic, and as imaginative as any writer working in this genre. I had read The Bleeding Season, my first journey into the mind of Gifune, and was amazed. Next I read Drago Descending, and thought it was just as good; I would have liked to see that one longer, but it was still a fabulous read. But I don't think anything could have prepared me for Children of Chaos. From the first page, Gifune's spell of magical writing swept over me like a seductive drug, and I finished the novel in one day-I also stayed up all night to finish it, it was that intense. Imagine being young and living through one rainy night when you and your other two friends commit a terrible deed; one that will change the course of your lives from that moment on. One friend grows up to be a priest who is eventually defrocked due to suspicious circumstances. The other, travels the world and eventually comes to reside far away in a desert hellhole, surrounded by hundreds of psychotic followers who will do anything for him, because they believe he isn't just another crazed cult leader, but a mystical being with unimaginable powers over the living, and the dead. The result is the amazing journey the rest of the book takes its main character, Phil, on. Through the mad, boiling desert to find his lost friend and what he has become: something that will force Phil to confront true evil, and to look deep inside his own troubled soul and pray he outlives it all. Greg Gifune crafted this brilliant novel after the immortal classic by Joseph Conrad, The Heart of Darkness. I like to think of it as a modern version of that classic book, and it will take you on a long journey through doorways that lead to places not many writers have the balls to write about. Children of Chaos is a testament to the incredible writing of Greg F. Gifune, and will carve his name into the heart of horror for future readers to marvel over. Not even six months in to 2009, and after reading Children of Chaos, I have named it one of the best reads of this year. If you love great storytelling, horror, or dark fiction, you'll thank yourself later for picking this one up.

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. A DEVASTATING, DARKLY BEAUTIFUL JOURNEY INTO MADNESS AND TERROR By Christopher Rice *This review was originally published on 'Christopher & Eric's Favorites', a feature of The Dinner Party Show dot com, a streaming Internet radio show hosted by New York Times bestselling novelists, Christopher Rice & Eric Shaw Quinn*Simply put, “Children of Chaos” is a devastating and darkly beautiful journey into madness and terror. It is not for the faint of heart, to be sure, but Greg. F. Gifune is one of the best writers of horror and supernatural thrillers at work today. With artful and hypnotic prose, Gifune transported me to a landscape turned virtually surreal by unmitigated human cruelty, but he never resorts to the smug sadism of torture porn, which I absolutely loathe. The story begins when three teenaged boys encounter a strange man covered in horrible scars during a torrential downpour, and it ends with a deeply damaged hero in the grip of a terrifying cult that lives along a desolate stretch of Mexican road known as The Corridor of Demons. Gifune frames the grotesqueries and frights with psychological depth and soulful assuredness. I’ve unearthed a lot of great new authors as a result of random Amazon searches; Greg F. Gifune is one of the true gems you should know about.

5 of 6 people found the following review helpful. A Masterpiece By Robert Dunbar This is one of the most profound, and certainly the most artistically ambitious, "horror" novels I've ever read. Again, Gifune makes the banality of "genre" evident. This is a great novel. Period.

As more and more of our heroic world War II Veterans are departing this earth, far too many of their valiant personal stories are going with them, hidden from future generations who will someday say, “I wish I had asked more questions while I could.” This will not be the case for Master Gunnery Sergeant Jay W. DeGraw. As his favorite daughter-in-law, I have had the distinct honor of sitting down with this incredibly fine Marine in his 91st year to record in words and pictures the amazing story of his life. I offer his tribute as a tribute to all Veterans, and to all who read this book, in hopes of inspiring patriotism and bringing out that true Marine spirit which surely lives in the souls of all of us who love America.

It is 1998, little is known about this part of the world and she is just a backpacker who has wandered off the beaten track. Within days she will meet Shaheen, a charismatic Iranian man who will introduce her to a world of Muslim refugees, feminists, activists and women living in the most severe seclusion. But is Shaheen the man he claims to be, and can a young western woman find a picture of Islam she can trust? 'Travels in a Veil' tells the brutal story of one woman exploring a new vision of Islam through the stories of nine extraordinarily diverse women.

Review "A gripping, affecting account of a woman's travels in hidden worlds." - Kirkus Reviews"As the world looks on and judges those women who wear head coverings, people argue the justification of such subjugation. Are these women's rights being violated? Perhaps it takes an outsider, a woman from outside of this culture, to infiltrate, if only temporarily, to understand the perspective both from within and from the outside. Australian author April Fonti undertook this challenge and has written a fascinating travelogue/memoir that follows her travels through Pakistan, Sweden and Iran." - Readers' Favorite

It is thought provoking, an exploration into the lives of Islamic women who wear veils and our misconceptions of life behind the veil as Westerners. The author travels from Australia to the Middle East to Sweden and back to Australia to tell this very personal story.

By RM There are so many good reasons to spend time with this book that it’s hard to know where to start:First of all it’s a fascinating story, a page turner- the true account of a young woman’s travels in Pakistan and Iran, her foray into daily life in Islamic societies and her experiences on the wild, windswept border to Afghanistan. It throws a bright light on both the male and female versions of these strictly segregated Muslim societies, and on the fateful reign of the Taliban. The second part of the story is set in the Western world. The author, caught up in a stormy relationship with a man from Iran, shares in the lives of the men and women who have escaped from their sequestered countries to Sweden. Her vivid and sometimes painful experiences are eye openers, and her observations and insights are thankfully free from sentimentality or judgement.Part three takes the author full circle- she travels to Iran with a sole objective- to connect with Iranian Muslim women in their own world and on their own terms. This is an adventure story about being an outsider, and at the same time it’s a multi-facetted insider report on Muslim beliefs and traditions, woven into poignant real life stories. An enlightening, important and entertaining read!

By Bodicia April Fonti had backpacked around India with great success and decided to go a little further afield to Peshawar where over 99% of the population is Muslim and the world is very different for women. Arriving on her own at the tender age of 21, April got off the bus and landed in a place where even walking across the market place unaccompanied brought the men around her to a complete standstill as they stopped and stared. She had a lot to learn. A chance meeting with a man called Shaheen, who at the outset seemed more liberal than his countrymen, gave her the chance to try and discover more about the culture around her and the people who live it every day. Accompanied by Shaheen she was able to work out 'the rules' of religion and culture far more quickly and was introduced by him to various women who taught her what it means to be a Muslim woman in that part of the world.April's travels with Shaheen took her to Sweden where the Muslim population seemed to follow their traditions even more closely in an effort to keep their culture and beliefs close to their hearts so far away from home. There were exceptions, as there are to every rule, but even Shaheen, once out of the comfort zone of his homeland, seemed to lean more towards acting and holding on to his identity more tightly.Reading this book I have come to my own conclusions. Yes, there are strict rules to follow which we in the West see as extreme and demeaning to women but we must remember religion is at the core of their being and very important to their culture and identity. Like in any society there will be those who bend 'the rules' and take the risk they will be punished for their actions. The punishment for some of the 'crimes' the women commit under Islamic law are barbaric and extreme and this is one area I can't condone or come to terms with...and I never will...but do they need 'saving' in general from their everyday lives? This is a much more grey area. Every religious tome has been interpreted in ways which have been detrimental at one time or another to the people who follow that particular religion. I am not going to get in to this by naming various situations and just trust you can imagine what I mean for yourself. Some may say the women haven't been informed enough in the ways of the world to make a well-educated decision but I disagree with this. Some of the women April came across had rather a skewered idea of what life was like in the western world but, even so, they didn't yearn for it. They didn't say 'I want to live like that!', they were simply shocked women would behave in a way which was so alien to their beliefs on how women should conduct themselves. So is the Western world right to want to 'save' these women who live their everyday lives under strict rules and segregation? Does every household contain women who are badly treated or is it simply the same as it is in Western culture where there are some women who suffer from domestic abuse whereas the majority are absolutely fine and content with their lot? Is the main problem actually more to do with the punishments handed out when the women break Islamic rules rather than the rules themselves?April Fonti wanted to know the truth too and travelled back to Peshawar with renewed determination to get to the real heart of the culture which so intrigued her. She talked to young students to get their views and, unsurprisingly, finds a few who delight in flouting the rules just a little bit by having the odd tape of western style music or style of dress under more traditional clothing which they are prepared to flash for a second in front of her camera, beaming naughtily. Young people who simply wanted to do the things they had been told not to...sound familiar? Those same students also told April their way of life makes them feel safer and they are glad the rules are there to be followed. She found homes where women rule their men with an iron rod in the home and yet appear subservient and very different people outside of it.I will leave you with a quote from the memoir -"Despite the government's efforts to move women backwards, evidence has shown that women's sensibility and expectations were forever changed by the experience of working and participating in society under the Pahlavi regime. The Islamic Revolution has also increased the participation of women in higher education and this has resulted in a new wave of women with a growing sense of autonomy." A Lover's Complaint (Illustrated), by William Shakespeare

About the Author Arguably the greatest English-language playwright, William Shakespeare was a seventeenth-century writer and dramatist, and is known as the Bard of Avon. Under the patronage of Queen Elizabeth I, he penned more than 30 plays, 154 sonnets, and numerous narrative poems and short verses. Equally accomplished in histories, tragedies, comedy, and romance, Shakespeare s most famous works include Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, Macbeth, King Lear, The Taming of the Shrew, and As You Like It.

Like many of his contemporaries, including Christopher Marlowe, Shakespeare began his career on the stage, eventually rising to become part-owner of Lord Chamberlain s Men, a popular dramatic company of his day, and of the storied Globe Theatre in London.

Extremely popular in his lifetime, Shakespeare s works continue to resonate more than three hundred years after his death. His plays are performed more often than any other playwright s, have been translated into every major language in the world, and are studied widely by scholars and students.

Christina Warner review on reflections of love By Christina Hello everyone, I am doing this review because I have followed Miranda Zekanovic on Google for nearly a year now.I have supported Miranda from her first book called " poems from the heart" and her second book is called " A love story of poems" and now this one" reflections of love". All of Miranda's books are excellent, Miranda writes about all sorts of poems, happy, sad, heartbreaking and they are all so good it's hard to choose a favourite. I love them all but I have to say her sad poems and heartbreak ones are stunning and she gets an abundance of her followers who hit the plus 1 which is when someone likes her poems. Miranda's poems are very popular and I will support her always. Miranda discovered this talent for writing a year ago and I hope she continues to write for years to come. Miranda has a love for writing and has been given this beautiful gift from God. I would love to say congratulations Miranda on publishing your third book. "Reflections of love". This is an amazing book and a lot longer than the others too. I take this book wherever I go and I would suggest buying her first two books as well. This is a fantastic collection of books and I would be lost without all of them. You can feel Miranda's love from reading this book and the others. I would like everyone to know that Miranda has a husband and two children and I would like to thank them for being so patient with Miranda to let her write and full fill her dream. Every one please buy now and you can enjoy this book and the others. This book would make a perfect Christmas present or birthday on any occasion.
